The Zelinc homestead has stood for five centuries in the village of Straza at the confluence of the Idrijca and Cerknica rivers. The farm has always been known far and wide, and the village of Straza is often called »At Zelin’s« by the locals. The surroundings offer a variety of excursion points to visit, and bicycles, parachutes and kayaking equipment can be hired at the homestead. On rainy days a visit to the interesting museums in Idrija and Cerkno is recommended. The landlady prepares a variety of domestic delicacies for guests, such as the famous local dish known as Idrija zlikrofi (ravioli with a special filling). Those with a sweet tooth will delight in the mouth-watering walnut rolls and cheese and apple strudel.
