The Zdolsek homestead was built in 1824 – a year which is imprinted in its stone portal. In front of the homestead is a huge garden, a fruit orchard and a gaily colored bee house which attracts the attention of every visitor. The surroundings offer a variety of interesting opportunities to suit everyone’s taste. Nature-lovers will set out to pick mushrooms and medicinal herbs, or perhaps go fishing. Particularly interesting activities are available to children, who can learn about life on the farm and witness the making of domestic arts and crafts in neighboring homes. On the Zdolsek country estate guests can easily find their peace and quiet. At the same time the family loves to pamper them with traditional dishes such as Styrian sour soup, mush, pork and sausages, ring cakes and delicious walnut potica, as well as wine from the home cellar.
