This homestead is known since the beginning of the 17th century and has kept her charm over the years. During spring 2005 the farmstead has been carefully renovated and redecorated. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the designer bathrooms are fitted by Villeroy & Boch. The ambiance is informal and warm with special attention for details. Downstairs is a lounge with a fire place and a wine cellar. On beautiful days there is a sunny terrace for breakfast and drinks. Groote Engel is a perfect base for exploring the beautiful scenery of the woods and sanddrifts of the Veluwe.

Price band

From € 47,50 per person per night inclusive breakfast (based on double occupancy); several arrangements available on request.

Hulshorst, situated within walking distance of the woods of te Veluwe, 2 km from Nunspeet, 30 km from Zwolle, 82 km from Amsterdam.

Accommodation

5 bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. The bedroom downstairs has a multi functional steam cabin with light-and aroma therapy. 2 bathrooms are fitted with a whirlpool.

Restaurants range from basic to Michelin star within 10 km radius.

Nunspeetse Golf and Country Club (challenging 27 holes championship cours), beauty farm, harbour, within walking distance walking- bicycle and horse paths.
