The Piloersema- or Hamsterborg at Den Ham, built in 1633 is a unique monument located in the beautiful rural setting of the provincial Groningen countryside. The old house has managed to preserve its distinguished character throughout the centuries. Lavishly situated behind broad ditches, the stately home rises up from the lowlands which lie beyond Den Ham. The building is located behind moats lined with trees.
