Landschapshof

"Landschapshof" is beautifully situated on the Lauwers, a meandering river on the border between the provinces of Groningen and Friesland, in the rural village Munnekezijl, which is part of the National Park Lauwersmeer. Dated 1823, the house was used as a lock-keeper's residence to operate the old sea sluice. When the sluice stopped operating, the house was used by a shipper who built an adjoining warehouse in 1926. The house is very characteristic and is surrounded by a beautiful orchard.
