Creagh House
A
Classical Regency townhouse with stately reception rooms, spacious
bedrooms and large bathrooms, beside the Awbeg River on the edge
of Doneraile town. Creagh House is an important listed building,
with historical and literary connections with Thackerary, Elizabeth
Bowen, Canon Sheehan and Daniel O'Connell.
Here you can enjoy a timeless country house atmosphere, although
there are traditional pubs and other amenities within easy walking
distance. Supper is available (with advance notice) and there is
a wide range of restaurants within a short drive.
The historical town of Doneraile is an ideal base for visiting
scenic, cultural, historic and sporting sites in Munster. Doneraile
Court, Mallow Racecourse and Blarney are nearby. Killarney and Cashel
are within an hour's drive, as are Cork and Shannon Airports.
