Lorum Old Rectory
A
warm welcome is assured at Lorum. Set beneath Mt Leinster in the
tranquil Barrow Valley, the Rectory, built in 1863 of cut granite,
is filled with pleasant conversation and the exciting aroma of freshly
baked bread. This family run home has built a reputation for its
warmth of welcome and imaginative home cooking - using home or locally
produced organic ingredients wherever possible.
Whatever their requirements, guests at Lorum are spoiled for choice.
Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Waterford, Kildare and Wicklow are all
within easy reach (and even a day-return to Dublin by rail is possible).
for those in search of peace and tranquillity, the gardens at Kilfane,
Woodstock and Altamont are ideal. There is golf at Mt Juliet, Mt
Wolsley and Borris and fishing, walking or cycling alongside the
Barrow River if you need a little exertion. Or you can play croquet,
wander in the garden or wonder who painted the sheep?
You will enjoy your stay at Lorum with Bobbie and Don.
