Clonalis House
Clonalis House is the ancestral home of the
OConors of Connacht, descendants of Irelands last High
Kings and traditional Kings of Connacht. Built on a wooded 700 acre
estate, Clonalis is a comfortable 45 roomed Victorian Italianate
mansion. The house offers our guests an opportunity to explore the
rich history of the OConors by browsing through our archive
and library dating from the 16th Century and examining such heirlooms
as Carolans Harp and the OConor Coronation Stone.
Confident of a warm welcome and the enjoyment of good food, guests
can retire to one of our four poster of half tester beds. Clonalis
is an ideal location from which to explore Galway City, Sligo and
Mayo, all of which are within one hours drive.
