'Château Accueil' is pleased to present you with our new selection of Châteaux and Manor Houses for 2001. For over 20 years we have chosen properties with a long tradition of welcoming guests into their homes as friends.

Choosing 'Château Accueil' to travel through France, will enable you to share our art of living, our culture and our inheritance. It will also present you with the ideal opportunity to enjoy the richness of some unknown places that are not on the normal tourist routes.

Our members will be only too happy to advise you on how to make the best of your itinerary or provide you with useful local addresses. During your stay, you will find the conversation, the different points of view regarding culture and other matters to be stimulating and interesting.

The hospitality provided and the assured dependability of our members have created many lasting relationships over the past number of years. It is with this knowledge that we welcome you to 'Château Accueil' where you can be assured of a truly memorable stay.

Reservations - Many of the properties listed are private family homes and have only a limited number of rooms available. To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you make your reservation in advance, where possible, or contact the property by telephone.

Arrival Time - We would ask that you please plan your arrival before 7.00 pm, or if this is not possible, please advise your hosts of your expected arrival time.

Prices - These are given either as per person rates or room rates and may include either a Continental or Gourmet style Breakfast. Some Members also offer an Evening Meal - please refer to individual properties for details of availability and cost. In addition properties which offer a suite of rooms or separate apartments will have this information listed. Additional beds provided in a room or suite of rooms may be charged for, this will be indicated where applicable.

How to Book - You may book by yourself, contacting the owners of château or residences where you wish to stay.

Confirmation - In order to confirm your reservation, a fax or letter are recommended. You may also be required to send a deposit, or to give the number of your Credit Card. For more information, please check with the individual castles concerned.

Payments - These should be made direct to the owners. Credit Cards are generally accepted

Cancellations - If, by any chance, a reservation is changed, cancelled, or if the length of your stay is reduced, a compensation may be required. The amount of this usually depends upon the length of notice given. You are advised to check with each castle regarding its cancellation policy; in many cases it may not be possible for the owners to relet the vacancy is notification has been received at the last minute.
