Tregoose
Set at the head of the Roseland peninsula, Tregoose is a typical
Cornish country house with a charming and interesting mature garden,
including a croquet lawn, and is surrounded by rolling countryside.
It is a family home for 3 children in school holidays. Famous houses
such as Lanhydrock and Trerice and many gardens including Trewithen,
Bosvigo, Trelissick, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project
are nearby, and beaches and sailing waters are within easy reach.
Alison was a lecturer in horticulture and knows many of the Cornish
gardens well. Her husband Anthony, who spent much of his professional
life in East Africa and the Far East, now has his own law practice
in Truro. He is a keen sailor and has a 35ft. yacht in which a days
sailing can be had by arrangement. A no smoking house.
Leave A30 by turning left for Grampound Road. Continue 3 miles
through Grampound Road. Turn right at junction with A390 towards
Truro. The lane leading to drive is after 200 yards, on right, just
where double white lines end in centre of road; lane entrance is
between four black and white reflector posts.
