The Old Vicarage
Shropshire, Worcestershire and the mountains over Hay-on-Wye on
the Welsh border can all be seen from the windows of The Old Vicarage,
set in the beautiful hills of north Herefordshire. Ludlow is 10
miles whilst Hereford and Worcester, and the stately homes of Berrington
Hall and Croft Castle are within easy reach.
Originally a farmhouse dating from 1680, the building became a
vicarage in 1850 and now has 18 acres including a two acre garden.
The spacious house, furnished with antiques, has a comfortable and
friendly atmosphere. Amanda and Guy are well travelled and are happy
to recommend places of interest to visit. Amanda is an excellent
cook, often using produce from the garden whilst Guy makes the bread.
The Old Vicarage is just under 1 mile south of A4112 between Tenbury
Wells and Leominster. On entering Leysters from Tenbury Wells turn
left at crossroads in centre of village (or right, just after Duke
of York pub, if coming from Leominster). Ignore sign to Leysters
Church. The Old Vicarage is on left, through a white gate just after
post box set in garden wall.
