Winstone Glebe
Winstone Glebe, a small Georgian rectory, set in five acres of gardens
and paddocks, overlooks a Saxon church in a Domesday-listed village.
The house is traditionally furnished, has spectacular views and
is very quiet.
Set in the heart of the Cotswolds it is ideally situated for exploring:
Bath and Oxford; Sudeley and Berkeley castles; Barnsley, Hidcote
and Kiftsgate gardens; the many Costwold market towns with their
antique shops and medieval churches and architecture.
Being within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
there are numerous well signposted walks. Those less energetic can
enjoy the warm hospitality and good food prepared by Susanna who
trained as a professional cook and ran the Cordon Bleu Restaurant.
15 minutes from M5 junction 11A; 30 minutes from M4 junction 15;
follow signs to Cirencester in both cases. Winstone is 6 miles NW
of Cirencester off the A417. Once in the village follow signs to
the church. The Glebe is just short of the church on the left on
a bend by a Public Footpath sign.
