Cokesputt House

Cokesputt lies in a tranquil situation overlooking classic English landscape of oak trees and pastures. Positioned in the middle of east Devon, close to Honiton (with its lace connections) and Ottery St. Mary, it is conveniently placed for visits to both north and south coasts. Exeter, and many beautiful houses and gardens open to the public are within easy reach. The house has developed over four centuries on a site farmed since Domesday and behind the simple Georgian frontage lies a spacious and elegant interior. The garden, conservatory and cider barn are full of interest and have been described as ‘worth a visit in their own right’. Caroline enjoys cooking and makes extensive use of the organically grown herbs, vegetables and other local produce. A no smoking house.

From M25 exit 28, take A373 towards Honiton, after 6 miles turn right to Payhembury. In village turn sharp right opposite 'Anglo' garage. Cokesputt is 300 yards on right. From A303/A30 go round Honiton bypass and after 1½ miles turn off left signed Fairmile and Ottery St Mary, after further mile turn right under A30 and follow signs for Payhembury. In village turn left opposite 'Anglo' garage as above.
