Golden Grove

A beautiful Grade I Elizabethan manor, with extensive gardens, set in 1,000 acres of pasture and woodland; close to Chester, The Vale of Clwyd, Bodnant Gardens, several fine National Trust properties, Snowdonia and en route to Holyhead and Dublin.

The Steele-Mortimer brothers and wives, having returned to the family home from Canada and Ireland, provide a warm welcome to their guests. The menu features home produce, including lamb and game, together with interesting wines and home baking. The atmosphere is friendly and informal, making this the ideal spot for a relaxing break in North Wales.

Turn off A55 on to A5151 for Prestatyn. Continue 3 miles to Trelawnyd. Turn right opposite Spar, immediately taking left narrow road. Continue ¾ mile, across crossroads and (caution) down hill to T-junction. Turn right, 200 yards turn left at gate lodge.
