Cumledge Mill House
Cumledge
Mill House stands proudly on the spot where it was built in 1854,
surrounded by 24 acres of garden and pasture bounded by the
Whiteadder River where guests may enjoy the leisurely and rewarding
pursuit of trout of salmon fishing.
Chris, Maggie and Henry, the black lab, welcome you with tea in the
sunny south facing drawing room with its peaceful views. Beautiful
rooms including the gorgeous bedrooms and bathrooms, are furnished
with antiques and a collection of eclectic foreign treasures; a
majestic American Colonial four poster bed sits in the double; the
Indian Room has artefacts garnered during 7 years in Delhi and the
Green Room has a sumptuous silk upholstered antique French Bed.
Lush lawns, flourishing borders and thriving vegetable garden spread
out beneath mature trees. Tennis rackets and croquet mallets are
available as well as garden umbrellas, armchairs and magazines for
those who prefer spectating.
