Cosses Country House

Dating from 1606 this former shooting lodge and home farm, tucked away in a secluded valley, is the home of Robin and Susan. Twelve acres of lovely garden and woodlands provide the perfect setting for afternoon tea, or varied walks which will give you views to Ireland, Kintyre and Arran.

The house contains many treasures from Robin and Susan’s ten years in the Middle and Far East. A log fire is lit on chilly evenings in the sitting room where Robin and Susan join their guests for pre-dinner drinks. Dinner is a memorable occasion using local produce and homegrown vegetables, fruit and herbs, Scottish cheese, fine wines and a selection of malt whiskies. This is the ideal base to explore this beautiful unspoilt area of south-west Scotland. Culzean Castle, Logan Botanical Gardens, Castle Kennedy and Burns’ birthplace are just a few of the many places to visit. Irish ferry terminals are thirty minutes away. Discounts on three or more nights.

From north/south take A77 to Ballantrae. From north go through Ballantrae, over the River Stinchar, then first left (caravan sign). Cosses is 2 miles on right. From south approach village and turn right before 30 mph signs as above.
