Bridge of Awe Lodge
Bridge
of Awe Lodge is situated at the western end of the Pass of Brander,
with gardens sloping down to the bank of the River Awe.
The lodge is comfortably furnished with antique furniture and
pictures. All bedrooms have their own private bathrooms. The house
has full central heating and there is a drying room and rod room.
Both salmon and trout fishing can normally be arranged on nearby
lochs and rivers. There are several well known gardens and golf
courses within an hours drive as well as Inverary Castle, Glencoe
and ferries from Oban to Mull and the Islands. Dinner, by prior
arrangement only, using interesting, freshly prepared local meat,
fish and vegetables. No smoking in the bedrooms please.
Take A85 (Oban road). Travel 23 miles west from Crianlarich. Turn
right (signed Inverawe Fisheries & Smokery) immediately before
bridge over the River Awe. The house is first on the left after
high hedge.
