Lywood House

Lywood House, a Yeoman’s home dating from the 17th century, is situated in rolling Sussex countryside and is set in its own delightful gardens with excellent views. The house is beautifully decorated and the drawing room and dining room are set aside for the use of guests. There is an attractive swimming pool.

Cleone is a professional cook and delights in trying new recipes. There is plenty to do and see – the gardens of Wakehurst (5 mins), Sheffield Park (15 mins) and Nymans (20 mins) being close by. The South of England Showground is on the doorstep. The historic towns of Lewes and Brighton are within easy driving distance. Excellent rail services from Haywards Heath (met by arrangement) and convenient for Gatwick airport (25 mins). Glyndebourne is only 35 minutes away.

Take B2028 south from A264 (exit 10, M23 towards East Grinstead) and through Ardingly. From Ardingly pass a left turn to Highbrook and Bluebell Railway. Take next turning on right by a public footpath sign. Lywood House is first house, 1/4 mile on left hand side.
