Tremayne House
Above the gentle wooded valleys of the Helford River and Frenchmans
Creek lies Tremayne, one of Cornwalls most beautiful houses
and best kept secrets. A Grade II listed former Dower House with
a glorious cantilevered staircase, it is exquisitely decorated with
family antiques, inviting sofas, and huge log fires. A warm welcome,
coupled with a happy relaxed family atmosphere make guests reluctant
to leave.
Juliet, as well as being a successful interior designer is an
excellent and imaginative cook. Four course dinners are served by
candlelight your hosts will be delighted to open your own
wine.
Cornwalls famous gardens, National Trust coastal and river
walks (including Tremayne Quay), the Minack Theatre, St Michaels
Mount, St. Ives and the Isles of Scilly are all within easy reach.
A no smoking house.
From Helston towards the Lizard on A3083, take B3293, via Mawgan
to St. Martin. Just past the school on right, turn left at the Green
signed Mudgeon and continue to crossroads. Turn left and then first
right after 200 yards. Tremayne House is at the end of lane on right
hand side through two large granite pillars.
